Durarara!!

Mikado Ryūgamine, a young boy who longs for the exciting life of the big city moves to Ikebukuro at the invitation of his childhood friend Masaomi Kida, who he has not seen since he was young to attend Raira Academy with him. After meeting Masaomi at the train station, they both set out at night to the streets of Ikebukuro. Masaomi warns him about people he doesn't want to cross in the city: like a violent and superhumanly strong man, Shizuo Heiwajima, an information broker named Izaya Orihara, and a mysterious gang known as "The Dollars." After running into some of the side characters, Mikado witnesses a local legend called the "Black Rider", who rides around Ikebukuro on a black bike that occasionally brays like a horse and also rumored to have no head under its helmet. The "Black Rider" is Celty Sturluson, an Irish dullahan who is in Ikebukuro looking for her stolen head. The narrative follows all of the characters equally, showing how their lives intersect, creating a greater plot-line from what each character knows about a common incident.

Durarara!! is a very detailed Anime I can defeniteley recommend! You won't really get what's going on until you watch it till the end and if you made it through the first season the second will be even more awesome and kind of makes you think "Dafuq just happened again?" all the time! Read on and I'll tell you more!

Hetalia

Hetalia: Axis Powers (Axis Powers ヘタリア Akushisu Pawāzu Hetaria?) is a Japanese webcomic, later adapted as a manga and ananime series, by Hidekaz Himaruya (日丸屋秀和 Himaruya Hidekazu?). The series' main presentation is as an often over-the-topallegory of political and historic events as well as more general cultural comparisons. Characters are personifications of countries, regions such as Hong Kong, and micronations such as the Principality of Sealand, with little reference to other national personificationssuch as Uncle Sam or John Bull. Both positive and negative cultural stereotypes form part of each character's personality.

Okay, don't be deterred of this kind of complicated and boring-sounding explanation of what this Anime is about! It's actually the funniest Anime I've ever watched and ever will watch. Read on and I'll give you the reasons to watch this AWESOME series!

Jigoku Shoujo

Somewhere in the vast sea of the Internet, there's a website that can only be accessed at the stroke of midnight. Known as the Jigoku Tsushin, rumor has it that if you post a grudge there, the Jigoku Shoujo will appear and drag whoever torments you into the inferno. Very little is known about the girl - all we know for sure is that she lives with her equally enigmatic grandmother, that three magical straw dolls accompany and serve her, and that whenever a posting on the Jigoku Tsushin moves her, she becomes the Jigoku Shoujo.
[source: myanimelist]

"Ippen... shinde miru?" (Wanna try dying this once?) Enma Ai is always whispering with her beautiful voice. Jigoku Shoujo is not only horror, it's also heart breaking and exciting in its own way. After three seasons there was an end - too bad! I could watch Jigoku Shoujo forever.

Ghost Hunt

Telling ghost stories is a favorite past time of Mai Taniyama and her friends—that is, until she meets 17-year-old Kazuya Shibuya, the man sent by Shibuya Psychic Research Center to investigate paranormal activity at a supposedly haunted school. When Mai gets caught in a dangerous situation, she is rescued by Kazuya's assistant. Saving her lands the assistant incapacitated, and Kazuya demands that Mai become his assistant, instead...

Creepy as fuck, but also a good comedy: Ghost Hunt is a bit of everything and really entertaining! I've watched it in one shot because I couldn't stand the tension. Let me tell you why you should do the same!

Shingeki No Kyojin

The series follows the story of Eren Yeager, his adopted sister Mikasa Ackerman, and their friend Armin Arlert. After the outermost Wall is breached by Titans, including the 60-meter tall skinless Colossal Titan and the abnormally intelligent Armored Titan, and his mother dies in the resulting destruction, Eren vows revenge against the Titans and later enlists in the military, accompanied by Mikasa and Armin. Years later, during his first battle against the Titans, Eren discovers that he has the ability to transform into a Titan at will. Seen as a threat to mankind by some, and as a ray of hope by others, Eren joins his companions in a desperate fight to protect what remains of their society while looking for answers to the mysteries surrounding the Titans, the Walls, and his own existence as well.

Shingeki no Kyojin is defeniteley one of the best Animes I've ever seen. Not only is the story amazingly imaginative and exceptional, it's also done very well! This Anime has a top visualization and has many different characters so that everyone finds one to adapt to!

Clannad / Clannad After Story

Clannad's story revolves around Tomoya Okazaki, a third year high school student who dislikes his life. Tomoya's mother died when Tomoya was young, leaving his father to raise him. After the accident, Tomoya's father turned to alcohol and gambling. Tomoya meets by chance Nagisa Furukawa, a soft-spoken girl . Her goal is to join the drama club, but they find that it was disbanded. Since Tomoya has a lot of time to kill, he starts to help Nagisa in reforming the drama club. During this period, Tomoya meets and hangs out with several other girls who he gets to know well and help with their individual problems.

Clannad is the saddest Anime you'll ever watch. After every episode you ignore the fact that you get mentally fucked up (because of the sadness, really) and continue watching. A very addictive story that won't ever let you go. And the most beautiful in its own way.

Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae wo Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai.

Jinta Yadomi and his group of childhood friends have become estranged after a tragic accident split them apart. Now in their high school years, a sudden surprise forces each of them to confront their guilt over what happened that day and come to terms with the ghosts of their past.
[source: NIS America]

AnoHana (from the same guys who did Toradora, so it MUST be perfect!) is a very emotional und dramatic anime about old friends trying to forget what happend on "that day" which changed their lifes forever. The ghosts of past seem never to die. After Clannad the saddest anime I've ever watched.

Litchi☆Hikari Club

(Warning: contains guro!)

For the sooty industrial town's lads there's only one point of light: the Light Club, a secret brotherhood they've organized in an abandoned factory. They're on the verge of booting up their crowning achievement, a "thinking machine" fueled by lychee fruits. At the same time, the middle schoolers' cooties-fearing solidarity is devolving into a downright National Socialist muck of murderous paranoia, perverse aestheticism, and (not always) suppressed homosexuality.
[source: Vertical]

Litchi Hikari Club is one of the best mangas I've ever read (and I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who's so obsessed with this story). Every guro and horror manga fan should have heard of Litchi Hikari Club, not because it's popular, but because it's truly a masterpiece!

Kurogane (Ikezawa)

A total weakling with lack of physical strengh, speed and lame reflexes has only ONE outstanding ability: His over-outreagous eyes with superb vision! Suddenly a ghost appears before Kurogane and attacks him with a sword! He's only able to dodge it because of his over-sensitive eyes! BUT this ghost (Sayuri ♥) chooses HIM, A TOTAL LOSER IN EVERY SPORT, to be the successor of the forgotten sakura-sword-style!

I read Kurogane in one shot! I love it! It's worth reading! I like the style, I like the story, I like the characters... the only thing I don't like is that it ended!

Sweet Amoris

At Sweet Amoris (it has different names in every language so let's call it Sweet Amoris), you can flirt with the boys you're interested in and experience your own true love romance! Discover new episodes regularly and meet the students at Sweet Amoris High School.

Best otome game online. :) You log in and play. No download - nothing! And there are maaany guys you can date! Much more than in ordinary dating sim games! Another plus is: You're able to design your very own character! You can dress her, make her hair and even change her face as you like!

RE: Alistair++

Merui loves video games, especially her favorite MMORPG, Rivenwell Online. Merui also has a very short temper, so when some JERK named Alistair steals a rare item from her, she's determined to exact revenge on him. Unfortunately, she has no idea who he is in real life. But hey, that's never stopped anyone, right? Take control of Merui and make new friends, balance schoolwork and fun, go shopping, search for the culprit, and maybe even discover a new romance.

I reeeally enjoyed this game! It's not one of the best, I don't even try to make it better than it is. It's not extraordinary in any way. But if you're bored and have some time it's a funny and free way of passing time. Let me tell you anyway what I enjoyed about playing RE: Alistair++!

[K] Project

Yashiro Isana has lived a relatively ordinary, simple life. He lives in the technology-advanced Shizume City and attends Ashinaka High School, a notable high school that is located on an island just outside the areas. Yashiro is friendly with everyone. Nothing ever seems wrong about him, except perhaps his habit of forgetting where his school-issued PDA is. However, nothing normal has been happening since the recent murder of Tatara Totsuka, prominent member of the infamous HOMRA. No one knows who exactly killed him but the man responsible bears an uncanny, identical appearance to Yashiro. Seeking vengeance, the Red Clansmen of HOMRA set out to get Yashiro and kill him. Everyone suspects that Yashiro is the murderer. Isana Yashiro was not the person who killed Tatara Totsuka but yet another mysterious character is pulling the strings behind the curtains, a person which is quite dangerous and powerful.

Ah, this Anime is so good! Because really, you don't understand ANYTHING until the very last episodes! You have to watch carefully, don't miss anything and always keep an eye on the likeable characters so that you don't fall behind with the plot and get to know the whole story!

Hatoful Boyfriend

Hatoful Boyfriend (はーとふる彼氏/Hatofuru Kareshi) is an indie dating sim game where all the dates are pigeons. The game is available in both English and Japanese. The title is a pun on the words "heart" and "hato" meaning "pigeon/dove" in Japanese.

Despite its premise, the story of Hatoful Boyfriend is not just whimsical crack, there is an actual spoiler explanation of how pigeons came to be talking.

Hatoful Boyfriend is the best dating sim game I've ever played. There are 8 pigeons you can date every single one of them has a touching story (I know it sounds weird, but you get used to it). One ending was THAT sad, I started crying (or more than one, oh gawd). Let me explain what Hatoful Boyfriend makes that awesome!

Life Is Money

One billion, and death ...? To get a surgical bed for his sister, Meguru has chosen to participate in an underground community. Between illegal gambling and games, he will participate in a nightmare.

[source: GanGan Online]

Life Is Money is one of the few mangas I enjoyed to death. Every single character seems to represent one mental disorder and one fear everyone seems to have. Unexpectetly it's not about fighting for your dreams, it's more about loosing everything during winning in a fight against yourself.

Ibitsu

A boy went to take his trash out late one night, and found a strange, creepy, lolita woman sitting amongst the garbage bags. She asked if he had a little sister, and he answered her, hurrying afterwards back to his apartment. When he looked out the window, she was gone. Who is the strange woman, and why does she give him such a bad feeling?
[source: mangaupdates]

From Ibitsu you can expect a lot! I speak for many others by saying it is one of the best and creepiest horror mangas you can come to read. Plot, characters and art speak for itself (it's just perfect, really). If you're a fan of the horror genre I'm gonna force you to read Ibitsu!

Aku no Hana

Kasuga Takao is a boy who loves reading books, particularly Baudelaire's Les Fleurs du Mal. A girl at his school, Saeki Nanako, is his muse and his Venus, and he admires her from a distance. One day, he forgets his copy of Les Fleurs du Mal in the classroom and runs back alone to pick it up. In the classroom, he finds not only his book, but Saeki's gym uniform. On a mad impulse, he steals it.

Did you hear about those Japanese school girls that destroyed their class room? They threw chairs and tables out of the window and raged like crazy. It was because they read the manga Aku no Hana. Last spring season (2013) the Anime aired and the first season finished airing a few days ago! You want to find out why these girls disengaged?

Karneval

Nai searches for someone important to him, with only an abandoned bracelet as a clue. Gareki steals and pick-pockets to get by from day to day. The two meet in a strange mansion where they are set up, and soon become wanted criminals by military security operatives. When Nai and Gareki find themselves desperate in a hopeless predicament, they encounter none other than the country's most powerful defense organization, "Circus".

Karneval is an Anime that definitely wants to be watched and stay in your heart forever! Apart from the lovely characters and beautiful scenes you won't find in any other Anime, you're going to have an addictive plot that revolves around fighting for the things you love and working together, even in your darkest times.

Hataraku Maou-Sama!

The Demon Lord and one of his generals, Alciel, escape Ente Isla through a portal to modern Tokyo, Japan after being confronted by the Hero Emilia Justina and her companions. However, due to the lack of magic in the modern contemporary world, both the Demon Lord and Alciel change into forms representing what they would look like if they were human. In order to survive, the Demon Lord takes a part-time job in a fast food restaurant named MgRonald while Alciel serves as his houseman. One day, the Demon Lord, who now goes by Sadao Maō, meets a girl who is actually the Hero Emilia, who now goes by Emi Yusa. The story then unfolds and explores the personalities of each of the characters and their moral values. More characters show up from Ente Isla and they too face the new world dilemmas, often comically.

I have to admit it: I totally fell for Satan. This Anime is so amusing that I couldn't stop watching it and pulled an all-nighter.

At first it was a bit difficult for me to adapt to the idea of Satan working my McRonald and getting all wishy washy liking humans and things, but it's just the way the story is told. Slowly you get to like the characters and start to admire Maou - EVEN IF YOU'RE disappointed in him getting a good guy!

Deadman Wonderland

Ganta Igarashi has been convicted of a crime that he hasn't committed, and sent to a new, privately owned and operated prison, where the inmates are the main attraction in a modern day twist to the gladiatorial coliseums of ancient times. Throw in a healthy dose of weird little girl, some new-found super powers, and a little conspiracy theory, and you have Deadman Wonderland.

A moving story, full of action and criticism of society! To explain the extraordinary system of Deadman Wonderland you absolutely need to watch the Anime.

Free! [Iwatobi Swim Club]

Free! revolves around members of a high school boy's swimming team. Four boys—Haruka, Makoto, Nagisa and Rin—all participated in a swimming tournament shortly before graduating elementary school and later parted ways. Years later, they reunite when Rin challenges Haruka to a race and wins. When Nagisa mentions creating a swimming club, Haruka, Makoto, Nagisa and then later on Rei, form the Iwatobi High School Swimming Club.

There are only four episodes with english subs out, BUT I can totally recommend this Anime! It's funny and moving and the characters are well-elaborated!
